Live Music | Performance

I work with performers, artists, venues, and arts organisations to create photography and videography that captures the movement, energy and atmosphere of live performance.

My approach is intuitive and unobtrusive, focused on documenting scenes as they unfold — from choreography and gesture to light, sound, and the relationship between performers and audiences.

Using a combination of stills and moving image, I produce visual content designed to support marketing and promotion across websites, social media, programmes and digital campaigns.

Commission: Performance photography for Global Indigenous Voices at RISE - Festival of Contemporary Dance and Performance. May 2026.

Client: Dance North Scotland

Photography for Dance North Scotland to capture performances delivered as part of RISE 2026 - part of a long-standing collaboration which has lasted over three years. The images were used across Dance North’s social media channels, e-newsletter and post-RISE reporting.

 

Commission: Production Photography for The Wound, the Rag & The In-Between. Eden Court. May 2024.

Client: Vivid Roots Collective

Performance photography commission by emerging Highland theatre makers Vivid Roots Collective, to capture the debut performance of their new play, The Wound, the Rag, and the In-Between at Eden Court. The images were used for post-event social media and to support reporting to core funders Creative Scotland.
